Since 21 February 2024 work is being carried out at The Polish Institute and Sikorski Museum as part of the Support for Archives, Libraries and Museums Abroad project which is being financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland funded from the state budget.
The work carried out relates to the development, safeguarding, digitization and popularizing the archival and museum holdings.
This is being carried out in tenth areas:
- The sorting out and preparing of archival collections for scanning
- Digitization of the Archival Collections
- Publishing of the scanned archival materials on the Institute’s web page
- Inventorization and the expansion of inventories of the archival finding aids
- Putting in indices into the database
- Translation of archival finding aids into English
- Inventorization of the uniform collection of the Museum
- Sorting out of exhibits relating to the uniform section
- Preparing and publishing a two-language catalogue of all the uniforms held
- Preparing and publishing a two-language album concerning General Władysław Sikorski’s visit to Mexico in 1942.
